Where they will be able to purchase products specially designed from the collections of the São Roque Museum, home accessories, stationery, jewelry or ceramics, and merchandising.

Provides to the store a new look, more clean and attractive; more intuitive and effective navigation; Using the homepage for all the main information, showing suggestion, books available for free and, banners with all the information about events. Now it is easier to find all the products and also to introduce them on the website.

From a standard layout for Santa Casa websites, we needed to create more intuitive navigation, offering a different and innovative presentation.

Now the store is more user friendly, modern and fast. It is in the standard of all the new websites of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa and also performs much better than the old store.

The new website of SCML - Loja da Cultura has the decoupled architecture, which means the website has another level of abstraction between the Backoffice (where the content is downloaded) and the Frontend (where it is the visual design). This solution gives more freedom to choose the technologies, in order to facilitate the integration of different CMS and the most recent frameworks of Javascript (e.g. React, Vue.js, Angular, Nuxt.js). We used WordPress as the CMS, because of the high scalability, performance, ease of learning, and use by the content manager. Our option for the Frontend was Nuxt.js it has one of the best frameworks at the moment. Their code is based on the well-known Vue.js, in order, the application has the capability to react to changes (no need to refresh the page when something is changed). All the pages visited in one section and all the changes made on the CMS will be saved in Cache, creating instant second navigation. The integration between the two parts of the website was used GraphQL, as an alternative to REST with the advantage of performance. With this technology, it is necessary to define the backend fields that must be returned in the response and only the request data will return. Resulting in a positive impact in terms of performance and data organization.
